The Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority has planned to organize second edition of the Lagos Real Estate Marketplace Conference and exhibitions.

This was revealed by the vSpecial Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Housing, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka,  in a statement by the Assistant Director, Public Affairs, LASRERA, Adeoti Sobowale, on Sunday.

She said, “There is a need for all practitioners in the sector to come together for further engagement and networking with other players and practitioners in the real estate sector, on how to drive marketing strategies and investment opportunities that will reduce the housing deficit in the state.

“The conference and exhibitions, themed, ‘Lagos: 21st century real estate investment hub,’ would help harmonise thoughts and views of stakeholders from the built sector on how the incidents of building collapse could be drastically reduced if not totally eliminated in the state.”

She added that the agency would continue to work to curb incidents of building collapse in the state.

“LASRERA, as an agency in the built environment sector, will continue to play its role as a regulator in the real estate market to curb the proliferation of uncertified individuals and corporate practitioners in order bring incidences of building collapse to the barest minimum,” she added.
