As part of its strategic stakeholder engagements program, the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) met with a delegation from the Borno State Government last week to explore ways of boosting affordable housing delivery in the State and re-integrate internally displaced persons into livable communities.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Energy, Mohammed Keri Abdul who led the delegation, sought FMBN’s support towards the realization of the Borno State government’s drive to provide decent and quality housing accommodation for displaced residents caused by the insurgency in the State. This includes a request to complete FMBN housing estates in the State and other avenues to drive rapid housing development.
FMBN’s Managing Director, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa in his remarks said the FMBN remains a ready housing development partner to Borno State in its efforts to tackle the insurgency-induced housing crisis and pledged that it will continue to engage and work with the state.
