The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), on Wednesday said it wheeled out 94,762.9 megawatts (MW) in Sept., due to increase in generation in the last two weeks of the month.
The daily statistics of TCN operations obtained by journalists from Nigerian Electricity System Operator (SO), a section of the TCN, indicated that 30,936mw was generated from Sept. 2 to Sept. 12.
This was against the 63,826.9mw generated between Sept. 13 and Sept. 30.
The statistics indicated that power generation increased by 32,890.9mw between the two periods.
The daily power generated from Sept. 1 to Sept. 12 sold at 3,101mw, 2, 987.93mw, 2, 982.69mw, 3, 204.8mw and 2, 915.9mw.
Others are: 2, 944.4mw, 3, 050mw, 2, 943.5mw, 2, 943.1mw, 3, 017.2mw, and 3, 570.6 respectively.
It also showed that daily power generated from Sept. 13 to Sept. 30 were 3,782.9 mw, 3,274.5mw, 3,301.7mw, 3,959.9mw, 3,470.7mw, 3,659.6mw
Other are: 3,383.6mw, 3,304.6mw, 3,294.9mw, 3,665.7mw, 3,964.9mw, 3,790.1mw, 3,655.8mw, 3,409.1mw, 3,563.9mw, 3,539.1mw, 3,463.8mw and 3,306.1mw respectively.
The energy generated was transmitted to 11 distribution companies (DisCos).
