FG to spend N4Obn on Kontagora Dam which needed N8.9bn to complete in 2010

    The Nigerian government is sticking to its plan of improving infrastructures nationwide.

    This Wednesday, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved the rehabilitation and completion Kontagora/Auna Dam and Irrigation project in Niger state.

    It also approved the N226 million for pest control across 11 states.

    The Ministers of Water Resources, Suleiman Adamu with his counter parts in the Agriculture, Industry, Trade and Investment Ministries as well as Attorney General and Minister of Justice, addressed the press after the meeting.

    Adamu added that the project was abandoned in 2010 when it was already 61 percent completed with  N8.9 billion needed to finish the job which will now cost N40 billion.
