The Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, has said that the there is a need to adopt strict measures against those violating Nigeria’s goal of maintaining public infrastructure
Amaechi made this known through social media at the virtual World Facilities Management Day 2021 Policy Dialogue, with some members of the private sector.
He said “I stated that in Nigeria and all of Africa, we must learn to maintain public infrastructure, and there must be consequences for violations,” he said.
“You can’t separate maintenance from organisation, law and order. There must be consequences when things fail,” he added.
It will be recalled that the present Government has announced plans to set up a $39 billion infrastructure fund last year.
